The Adna boys basketball team sent its seniors out in a big way, earning a 71–34 victory over Morton-White Pass on Saturday.

The Pirates (15-5, 9-3 C2BL) raced out to a nine-point lead after the first, but pulled away in the second to take a 23-point lead into the break.

They continued to pull away in the third, dropping 29 points to extend the lead to 35.

Braeden Salme led the Pirates with 18 points, Lane Johnson scored 16, and Lakoda South tallied 13.

At 9-3 in C2BL play, Adna is a half-game back of Wahkiakum for second place, a spot that earns a first-round bye at the district tournament.

For the Timberwolves (3-12, 1-9 C2BL), Tony Belgiorno led the way with 10 points, while Judah Kelly added eight and Keaton Thompson dropped seven.

Morton-White Pass is one game back of Kalama for the seventh and final district spot, but they’ll have the chance to top the Chinooks in White Pass on Tuesday.

First, the T-Wolves will host Onalaska on Monday, while the Pirates will head to Napavine for their regular-season finale on Tuesday.
