Judith Lea Marks was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend to many. She left this world peacefully on Oct. 13, 2024. Judy is survived by her children, Heather (Barry Sutherland) Panteleeff and Jordan (Amy Panteleeff) Panteleeff, and her grandchildren, Bailea Alex Brown, Sawyer Alex Panteleeff and Opal Jean Panteleeff.
The world was blessed on March 27, 1953, when Judy was born to parents, Eugene Alfred Marks and Elsa Lea Marks at Providence Hospital in Centralia, Washington.
As a young child, Judy realized she was a talented artist and spent her spare time making the world smile with her magnificent paintings and other works of art.
Judy graduated from Centralia High School in 1972 and settled down with Robert Panteleeff, where they invited their two children, Heather Renee Panteleeff and Jordan Alex Panteleeff, into the world. While in her 40s, Judy graduated with a bachelor's degree from Saint Martin’s University. She then went on to work at The Chronicle as a reporter, photographer and editor.
After retirement, Judy spent much of her time embracing her true passions: drawing, sculpting and antique dealing. What she loved most about retirement was spending time with her grandchildren. "They" were the highlight of her life.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Virgil R. Lee building (Penny Playground), located at 1225 SW Williams Ave., Chehalis, Washington.
