Wolves Take Down Tigers, 4-2


Black Hills girls tennis remain undefeated in 2A Evergreen Conference play after defeating Centralia, 4-2, at home on Monday.

In first singles, Centralia’s Evie Rooklidge defeated Black Hills’ Char Nieman, 6-0, 6-2. In second singles, Black Hills’ Ella Sarno defeated Centralia’s Norah Sas, 6-2, 6-3. In third singles, Black Hills’ Monica Pedi defeated Centralia’s Olivia Wiley, 6-1, 6-2.

On the doubles side, Black Hills duo Sienna Moore and Athena Moore defeated Centralia’s Liza Hopkins and Maddie Corwin, 6-2, 6-4, in first doubles.

“The Moores are a very solid team,” Centralia coach Scott Snyder said.

In second doubles, Black Hills’ Stella Moore and Chloe Whitecraft defeated Centralia’s Maya O’Dell and Serina Stehr, 6-2, 6-2. In third doubles, Centralia’s Olivia Norris and Sophie Wiley defeated Black Hills’ Haley Carey and Raeven Medwynter, 2-6, 6-2, 6-4.

Centralia heads to Aberdeen on Tuesday. Black Hills hosts W.F. West on Tuesday.
