Students from Winlock Dance Center continued a beloved holiday tradition by visiting local senior living communities to share the joy of dance and celebrate the season.
Young dancers performed festive routines for residents at Villager Inn Retirement Center in Castle Rock, Colonial Residence at Stillwaters in Centralia, and Woodland Village in Chehalis.
This meaningful outreach has been led for over 20 years by owner and director Robin Brumley, teaching students the importance of giving back to the community.
“Every winter, Winlock Dance Center makes a point to visit the surrounding retirement homes and put on a small performance. It fills my heart with so much joy to see how much they all enjoy watching the kids dance,” lead instructor Tayla Ward said in a news release. “I believe it’s such a beautiful thing giving back to the community and making their day.”
“We want our dancers to learn that giving their time and sharing their talents is one of the greatest gifts of the holiday season,” Brumley added.
Winlock Dance Center is currently enrolling students for its new January classes.
