W.F. West senior Gavin Fugate revealed Thursday that his future will take him to Pullman, announcing on social media that he had committed to play football at Washington State next year.

Fugate is listed as a two-star athlete on 247sports, suggesting that after playing on both sides of the ball for the Bearcats, he could continue his career in college on defense. This past season, he logged 39 total tackles at his spot in the secondary, along with two tackles for loss and an interception.

The senior made more headlines on offense, accounting for 2,706 passing yards, 506 rushing yards, and 31 total touchdowns behind center for the Bearcats, leading them to the 2A state semifinals for the second time in school history.
