Wendy White Mitchell, a classically-trained vocalist, will perform a holiday concert at Centralia United Methodist Church at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20.
There is no charge for admission, but a freewill offering will be taken to support the Salvation Army’s “Angel Tree” program that provides toys, clothes and food for needy children in Lewis County, a news release from the church stated.
Wendy White Mitchell grew up in Centralia and is a graduate of Centralia High School and Centralia College. She now lives in Yonkers, New York, and is delighted to perform in her hometown. She will be accompanied by Marilyn Turner-Burchett on piano.
The concert will give those attending an opportunity to sing Christmas carols in between the performance.
All are welcome.
