Vikings get into gear to beat Loggers

The Mossyrock boys basketball team needed a bit to get going in its first dose of action of the winter Monday, but got going in time to run past Onalaska 62-36 in a non-league battle.

The Vikings (1-0) managed just six points in the opening eight minutes, and led 23-22 going into halftime, but dropped a 27-point quarter in the third to pull away, and held the Loggers (0-1) to just three points in the final frame.

Zack Munoz led the Vikings with 21 points, while Hunter Isom had 13 and Ethan Johnson added 12.

Justin Jacoby led Onalaska with11 points, while Nick Rushton had eight and Maddox McKinley scored six.
