Locals participate in Cheese Days Tennis Tournament

Centralia’s brother tandem of Jacoby and Zander Corwin triumphed in the men’s doubles division of the Toledo Cheese Days Tennis Tournament with a 6-0, 6-0 verdict. They were two of a handful of area individuals that finished top-two.

Joy Pluard of Chehalis was second in women’s singles while the duo of Anne-Marie Stedham (Chehalis) and Trudy Pomeroy (Mossyrock) were the runners-up in women’s doubles.

Men’s singles – Adam Sanford (Portland) def. Maury Ray (Spokane) 6-0, 6-2; Women’s singles – Amanda Wallace (Uganda, Africa) def. Joy Pluard (Chehalis) 6-1, 6-0; Men’s doubles – Jacoby and Zander Corwin (Centralia) def. Trask Court (Portland) and Andreas Nicoliades (Uganda, Africa) 6-0, 6-0; Women’s doubles – Kari Court (Portland) and Amanda Wallace (Uganda, Africa) def. Anne-Marie Stedham (Chehalis) and Trudy Pomeroy (Mossyrock) 6-0, 6-1; Mixed doubles – Amanda Wallace and Andreas Nicoliades (Uganda, Africa) def. Kari and Trask Court (Portland) 6-3, 7-5.
