The Morton-White Pass girls basketball team lost 57-38 on Tuesday at Toutle Lake in a Central 2B League battle.
MWP got off to a rough start when senior leader Natalia Armstrong picked up her second personal foul midway through the first quarter, and then got tagged with her third before coach Tim Roberts could sub her out. With her on the bench the entire second quarter, Toutle Lake went on a 16-7 run, opening up a 15-point lead at halftime.
“We were getting some good looks, but not converting,” Roberts said.
Things got better in the third quarter, but by then, the gap was too far to overcome.
Malia Armstrong led the T-Wolves (8-7, 2-4 C2BL) with 10 points, while freshman Ryelin Wiedenmann had eight.
MWP will host Kalama on Thursday in Morton.
