Tigers Hooked By Fishermen

The Centralia boys basketball team fell at home in a non-league matchup Monday, losing 76-62 to 2B Ilwaco.

The guests from the coast blew the game up with a 21-7 run in the second quarter, then came out in the third and added nine more points onto their lead to make it a 26-point game. Centralia found its offense late, scoring 26 points in the fourth quarter, but it was far too little, too late.

Cohen Ballard hit four 3-pointers en route to a team-high 20 points for the Tigers. Carlos Vallejo added nine points.

Kyle Morris and Beckett Turner both dropped 26 for the Fishermen.

Centralia (1-7, 0-3 2A EvCo) will come right back with a second game in as many days Tuesday, hosting Stevenson.
