The Tumwater baseball team cleaned its game up Wednesday, beating Rochester 10-0 in five innings.
Tumwater jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second game of the doubleheader, but the two teams only got through the top of the fourth before it had to be postponed.
The T-Birds’ last time out on the field, they committed 11 errors in a surprising split with Aberdeen. This time, they eliminated the errors entirely.
Trenton Gaither tossed a five-inning shutout in Game 1, allowing two hits and a walk and striking out seven. Hyde Parrish matched him for three innings on the other side, before the T-Birds jumped on him for five runs in the fourth and five more in the fifth.
The first four batters in the Tumwater order — Peyton Davis, Alex Overbay, Eddie Marson, and Brayden Oram — all had two-hit games, as did Graysen Reveal lower in the lineup.
In Game 2 started with a bang for Tumwater, with Overbay launching his fourth home run of the year. The T-Birds added three more runs in the top of the fourth, but the Warriors never got the chance to bat in the frame before the game got postponed.
