Sirens: Subject trespassed for selling dogs; vehicle prowls; sentencings

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Criminal trespass

• A criminal trespass reported in the 200 block of Southwest James Street just after 10 a.m. on Nov. 26 is under investigation.

• Subjects who were seen selling dogs on a property in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before noon on Nov. 26 were moved along.

• A disorderly man was trespassed from a business in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 26.

Disorderly conduct

• A homeless woman was reportedly “being disruptive and ranting” inside a restaurant in the 400 block of North Market Boulevard just before 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 26. She was moved along.

Theft

• Just after 1:45 p.m. on Nov. 26, an Apple watch was reported stolen from the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue six days prior.

Vehicle prowl

• Just before 2:15 p.m. on Nov. 26, a citizen reported his vehicle and a neighbor’s were broken into sometime overnight in the 10 block of Southwest Sixth Street. No damage to the vehicle was reported, and no items were reported stolen.

Scam

• A phone scam was reported in the 1700 block of South Market Boulevard just before 3 p.m. on Nov. 26.

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Criminal trespass

• A homeless Lacey woman was trespassed from a business in the 1600 block of South Gold Street just before 9:20 a.m. on Nov. 26.

Assault

• A 40-year-old Centralia man was arrested for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence in the 800 block of Park Way just after 8:50 p.m. on Nov. 26.

Theft

• A black 1999 Ford pickup was reported stolen from the intersection of Galvin Road and Harrison Avenue just before 5:15 p.m. on Nov. 27. The vehicle was later recovered.

Sentencings

• Paul Hickman, 58, pleaded guilty Monday, Nov. 25, to one count of possession of a controlled substance while in a county or local correctional facility and second-degree introducing contraband and was sentenced that same day to 14 months in prison.

Bobby D. Thompson, 50, of Olympia, pleaded guilty Tuesday, Nov. 26, to possession of a controlled substance while in a county or local correctional facility and was sentenced that same day to 44 days in prison, with credit for 44 days served.

His other case, in which he was charged for unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance, was dismissed without prejudice.

Guilty plea

Jody Roberts, 46, of Puyallup, pleaded guilty Tuesday, Nov. 26, to one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture or deliver. Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 8.

FIRE AND EMS CALLS

• Between Wednesday morning and Friday morning, Lewis County 911 Communications logged approximately 57 illness-related calls, 15 injury-related calls, seven fire-related calls, four non-emergency service calls, five vehicle accidents, two suicide-related calls, one rape, two Lifeline medical alerts, two ambulance requests and two other calls.

JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 150 inmates, including 136 in the general population and 14 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 110 were reported male and 26 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 12 were reported male and two were reported female.

• As of Friday morning, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total system population of 19 inmates, including nine booked by the Centralia Police Department, eight booked by the state Department of Corrections, one booked by the Tulalip Tribe and one booked by the Lummi Nation.
