CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Drug violations
• A juvenile was referred on charges for allegedly bringing marijuana to Centralia Middle School in the 900 block of Johnson Road just after 8:40 a.m. on March 26.
• A 28-year-old Olympia resident was arrested for eluding law enforcement and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in the 300 block of North Tower Avenue just after 4:15 p.m. on March 27.
Hit-and-run
• A hit-and-run was reported in the 1000 block of North Pearl Street just before 9:30 a.m. on March 26.
Assault
• An assault of a child reported in the 1100 block of Scammon Creek Road at 3:10 p.m. on March 26 is under investigation.
Forgery
• A male suspect reportedly used a fraudulent check to purchase a Facebook Marketplace item from a seller in the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue just after 9:55 p.m. on March 26. The case is under investigation.
Criminal trespass
• A 36-year-old Centralia man was arrested for trespassing at a business in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue at 3:05 a.m. on March 27.
Weapon violation
• A 60-year-old Rochester man was cited for a concealed pistol violation following a road rage incident with another driver in the 1600 block of North Pearl Street just after 5:55 a.m. on March 27.
Malicious mischief
• Vandalism to a building in the 600 block of Centralia College Boulevard was reported just after 9:55 a.m. on March 27.
• Vandalism to a business in the 500 block of North Gold Street was reported at 11 a.m. on March 27.
CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT
Assault
• A custodial assault that occurred at Green Hill School in the 300 block of Southwest 11th Street on March 3 was reported just after 8:40 a.m. on March 26.
Criminal trespass
• A homeless man who was “swinging around a stick” in front of a business in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at 3:45 p.m. on March 26 was trespassed from the business.
• A criminal trespass reported in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana avenue at approximately 9:20 a.m. on March 27 is under investigation.
• A man who was loitering in front of a store in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue while carrying “a knife in his hand on a 12-inch stick” was trespassed from the business just before 12 p.m. on March 27.
• A subject who refused to check out of their room at a hotel in the 200 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue was trespassed from the hotel at approximately 1 p.m. on March 27.
Vehicle accidents
• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 4:20 p.m. on March 26.
• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Southeast Fourth Street and South Market Boulevard just after 1:15 p.m. on March 27.
Theft
• A glass bottle and a gray hoodie were reported stolen from the 100 block of Southeast Sixth Street at approximately 4:50 p.m. on March 26.
• A phone was reported stolen from the 1900 block of South Market Boulevard just before 6:50 p.m. on March 26.
• A wallet was reported stolen out of a vehicle in the 500 block of Northwest Pacific avenue just before 12:30 a.m. on March 27.
• A subject was cited for shoplifting from a business in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 2 p.m. on March 27.
• A pressure washer was reportedly stolen from a business in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 7:10 p.m. on March 27. The stolen item was recovered.
Burglary
• A man who was reportedly seen climbing over fences and going through backyards near the intersection of South Market Boulevard and Southwest Sixth Street just after 5:25 p.m. on March 26 was arrested for second-degree burglary.
Suspicious circumstances
• A man who had a large knife in his back pocket was reportedly swinging a sharpened stick outside of a store in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 6:40 p.m. on March 26.
• At approximately 9:35 a.m. on March 27, a woman reported her ex was chasing her, in violation of a no-contact order, on southbound Interstate 5 in Chehalis.
• A man was reportedly “air fighting with a machete” in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 6:55 p.m. on March 27.
Reckless burning
• A homeless person who reportedly had a campfire near the intersection of North Market Boulevard and Northwest West Street just before 3:05 a.m. on March 27 was cited for second-degree reckless burning.
Vicious dog
• A report of a vicious dog at the Exit 77 offramp from Northbound Interstate 5 just after 12:30 p.m. on March 25 is under investigation.
Disorderly conduct
• A patient in an ambulance in the 500 block of Southeast Adams Avenue reportedly grabbed a pair of trauma shears and fled on foot in the 500 block of Southeast Adams Avenue just after 1:10 a.m. on March 28. The patient was being involuntarily admitted for meth psychosis, according to the Chehalis Police Department. No assault was reported.

Sentencings
• Jarrod Ray Vincent Phillipi, 34, of Centralia, pleaded guilty March 26 to one count of third-degree assault, domestic violence, and was sentenced to three months in jail with credit for 12 days served. Philippi is additionally required to undergo an anger management evaluation and complete all recommended treatment. A no-contact order in favor of the victim is in place.
• Justin Scott Bushnell, 21, of Onalaska, pleaded guilty March 26 to one count each of vehicular assault and DUI and was sentenced to six months in jail. An additional 362 days of jail time is suspended for 24 months. Bushnell is also required to undergo an alcohol use evaluation and complete all recommended treatment.
• Dion Jose Rodriguez Lee, 24, of Chehalis, pleaded guilty March 26 to one count of third-degree assault, domestic violence, and was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served. He was out of custody at the time of his sentencing. He is additionally required to undergo a domestic violence evaluation and complete all recommended treatment. A five-year no-contact order in favor of the victim is in place.
• Michael E. Bostwick, 51, of Centralia, pleaded guilty March 26 to one count of third-degree malicious mischief and was sentenced to 364 days in jail with 361 days suspended and credit for three days served. He was out of custody at the time of his sentencing.
• Dustin N. Dailey, 35, of Seattle, pleaded guilty March 26 to one count each of first-degree criminal trespass, second-degree criminal mischief and obstructing a law enforcement officer. He was sentenced to 30 days in prison with credit for one day served and permission to serve the remainder of his sentence on electronic home monitoring. An additional 364 day sentence is suspended for 24 months. Dailey must enter electronic home monitoring by April 15.
FIRE AND EMS CALLS
• Between Wednesday morning and Friday morning, Lewis County 911 Communications logged approximately 30 illness-related calls, 11 injury-related calls, five fire-related calls, three non-emergency service calls, two vehicle accidents, one overdose, one Lifeline medical alert and two other calls.
JAIL STATISTICS
• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 143 inmates, including 130 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 102 were reported male and 28 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.
• As of Friday morning, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total system population of 26 inmates, including 12 booked by the Centralia Police Department, seven booked by the state Department of Corrections, one booked by the Tenino Police Department, two booked by the La Push Quileute Nation, two booked by the Bureau of Indian Affairs, one booked by the Tulalip Tribe and one booked by the Lummi Nation.
