Two men accused of spray painting graffiti on two train cars in Centralia on Tuesday — causing an estimated $12,000 in damage — are facing felony and gross misdemeanor charges in Lewis County Superior Court.

Coyote Sindueno Acabo, 47, of Olympia, and Dustin Dailey, 35, of Seattle, were each charged with one count of first-degree malicious mischief and one count of first-degree trespassing after they were arrested in the 200 block of North Railroad Avenue just after 3:40 p.m. on Feb. 11, according to court documents and Centralia Police Department call logs.

Dailey was also charged with one count of obstructing a law enforcement officer for allegedly fleeing on foot when officers arrived, according to court documents.

Officers with the Centralia Police Department reportedly responded to a trespass complaint near Sixth Street and found Acabo and Dailey actively spray painting a railroad car, with ladders leaned up against the car and multiple spray cans of paint on the ground, according to court documents.

The men were both reportedly “wearing masks to conceal their identity,” but were identified after they were arrested, according to court documents.

“It was determined that the pair had spray painted two railroad cars,” the Lewis County Prosecutor's Office stated in charging documents. “A representative of BNSF was contacted and said it would take approximately $6,000 per car to restore damage from the graffiti.”

Dailey was released on $5,000 unsecured bail on Wednesday. Acabo’s bail was set at $5,000 secured due to an unrelated warrant on his record.

Arraignment hearings are scheduled for Feb. 20.
