Sirens: $3,000 to $4,000 in property stolen from construction site; assault at Green Hill; juvenile in stolen vehicle arrested

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Theft

• Approximately $100 in packages and a $30 Bible cover were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 300 block of North Gold Street just after 12:40 p.m. on Nov. 6.

• A debit card and an EBT card were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 200 block of North Rock Road just after 2:45 p.m. on Nov. 6. The card was used to steal $122 from the victim. The case is under investigation.

• Approximately $3,000 to $4,000 worth of property was reported stolen from a storage container on a construction site in the 1300 block of Kresky Avenue just after 12:15 p.m. on Nov. 7. The case is under investigation.

• Two wallets and a cellphone were reported stolen out of a vehicle in the 2500 block of Mt. Vista Road at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Nov. 7. They were later recovered in Thurston County. The case is under investigation.

 

Criminal trespass

• A disorderly man was trespassed from a business in the 900 block of Harrison Avenue just before 3:50 p.m. on Nov. 6 after he reportedly sat on the floor and refused to leave when asked.

• A homeless Winlock man was trespassed from a facility in the 2400 block of Reynolds Road for disorderly conduct at approximately 4:55 p.m. on Nov. 6.

• A Centralia resident was trespassed from a business in the 600 block of South Tower Avenue for allegedly attempting to use a stolen debit card to purchase items at approximately 9 p.m. on Nov. 6.

• Three homeless people were trespassed from city property in the 1200 block of Woodland Avenue just after 8:35 a.m. for reportedly camping and littering in an area near a school.

• A homeless Texas resident was trespassed from a business in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue for disorderly conduct at 9:15 p.m. on Nov. 7.

 

Traffic violation

• A juvenile was cited for driving without a valid driver’s license after they caused a collision at the intersection of West Sixth and North Pearl streets just before 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 6.

 

Drug violations

• A 38-year-old Chehalis man was cited for possession of meth while trespassing on BNSF railroad property in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue just after 7:35 p.m. on Nov. 6.

• A 39-year-old Centralia man was cited for possession of fentanyl after he was reportedly seen “nodding off” in a vehicle in a parking lot in the 300 block of Reynolds Avenue just after 8:35 p.m. on Nov. 6.

• A 35-year-old Centralia man was arrested for unlawful possession of meth in the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 7 after officers contacted him for drinking alcohol in public. He reportedly set his smoking device on the table he was sitting at while talking to officers.

 

Assault

• A 65-year-old Centralia man was arrested for fourth-degree assault, domestic violence in the 900 block of L Street just after 9:55 a.m. on Nov. 7.

 

Burglary

• A possible burglary of a residential garage was reported in the 1200 block of Grand Avenue just before 12:55 p.m. on Nov. 6. The case is under investigation.

 

Eluding

• A vehicle that was reported stolen out of Kent was seen driving in the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue just after 2:15 a.m. on Nov. 8. Officers located the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle fled northbound on Interstate 5. The Washington State Patrol and Thurston County Sheriff’s Office continued pursuit and arrested the juvenile driver, who was booked into the Lewis County Juvenile Detention Center.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Assault

• A 15-year-old was arrested for fourth-degree assault and harassment in the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way at 8:05 a.m. on Nov. 6.

 

Suspicious circumstances

• A woman was reportedly threatening to hit a car with a bat and acting disorderly in the 200 block of Southwest John Street at approximately 8:25 a.m. on Nov. 6.

• A former client of a facility in the 600 block of South Market Boulevard was reportedly demanding money and making threats at the facility just after 10:15 a.m. on Nov. 6.



• A possible DUI was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue at approximately 9:05 a.m. on Nov. 7.

• A resident in the 300 block of Southeast Hillsdale Lane reported an Amazon delivery driver “crunched” her driveway and “crunched” her drain just before 5:05 p.m. on Nov. 7. She was advised to report directly to Amazon.

 

Criminal trespass

• A subject was arrested for trespassing in the 300 block of Southwest Pacific Avenue just before 10:55 a.m. on Nov. 6.

• A group of homeless people reportedly started a fire on a property in the 600 block of West Main Street just after 9 p.m. on Nov. 6.

• Two men were trespassed from a hotel in the 700 block of Northwest Liberty Place at 1:35 a.m. on Nov. 7 after they reportedly became “agitated at hotel policy” and refused to leave. One of the subjects returned to the lobby a couple minutes after the initial 911 call and began overdosing. Narcan was administered and medical aid was dispatched.

• A possible burglary was reported at a business in the 100 block of Southwest 11th Street just after 10:10 a.m. on Nov. 7. Two subjects were trespassed for life from the business.

 

Dispute

• A possible verbal dispute was reported in the 200 block of Southeast Washington Avenue at 1:40 p.m. on Nov. 6.

 

Vehicle accidents

• Minor injuries were reported following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Northwest Chamber of Commerce way and Northwest Louisiana Avenue just after 9:10 a.m. on Nov. 7.

• A non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and Northwest Arkansas Way just after 2:20 p.m. on Nov. 7.

 

Green Hill School

• Three cases involving introduction of contraband at Green Hill School in the 300 block of Southwest 11th Street were reported just after 10:45 a.m. on Nov. 7.

• A custodial assault was reported at Green Hill School in the 300 block of Southwest 11th Street at 10:50 a.m. on Nov. 7.

 

Scam

• A scam was reported in the 300 block of North Market Boulevard at approximately 12:10 p.m. on Nov. 7.

 

Harassment

• A subject in a vehicle was reportedly yelling at someone and following them in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue just before 4:50 p.m. on Nov. 7. The vehicle followed them to 13th street before getting onto northbound Interstate 5. When the reporting party’s husband spoke to the driver, the driver reported they “believed she was someone else” and left.

 

Disorderly conduct

• Disorderly conduct reported in the 200 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue at 10:35 p.m. on Nov. 7 is under investigation.

 

FIRE AND EMS CALLS

• Between Wednesday morning and Friday morning, Lewis County 911 Communications logged approximately 52 illness-related calls, 11 injury-related calls, 15 fire-related calls, eight non-emergency service calls, five vehicle accidents, three Lifeline medical alerts, one 911-hangup call, one medical helicopter request and two other calls.

 

JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 137 inmates, including 124 in the general population and 13 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center (WERC). Of general population inmates, 101 were reported male and 23 were reported female. Of the WERC inmates, 11 were reported male and two were reported female.

• As of Wednesday morning, the Chehalis Tribal Jail had a total system population of 23 inmates, including nine booked by the Centralia Police Department, 10 booked by the state Department of Corrections, one booked by Chehalis Tribal Court, one booked by the City of Elma, one booked by the Lummi Nation and one booked by the Tulalip Tribe.
