ROOTED in Lewis County looking to fill two board positions

ROOTED in Lewis County is currently inviting applicants for two open board positions, specifically for individuals residing in east and west Lewis County, as well as a student representative position on the board.

ROOTED in Lewis County is looking for community members who are passionate about community engagement and interested in helping educate the people of Lewis County about the importance and impact of its work, according to a news release.

ROOTED in Lewis County recently celebrated the grand opening of its new Centralia location at 113 West Maple St. on Oct. 1. Founded in 2022 as the Dignity Guild, the organization has faced early challenges but remains firmly committed to its original mission: championing social justice issues impacting marginalized communities, according to a news release prior to the event.



Rebranded as ROOTED in Lewis County, the organization is embracing a new identity while expanding its outreach, strengthening community partnerships, and placing education at the heart of its programs, according to the release.

Recent initiatives include supporting Juneteenth celebrations, co-hosting a Twin Cities Pride event in July, and launching an essay writing contest during Founders Day.
