The Adna girls basketball team needed under eight minutes to get all the points it would need all night long Wednesday, but didn’t let that fact slow them down in a 74-22 blowout of Kalama.
The Pirates (11-1, 5-1 C2BL) led 27-8 after a quarter of play, before going on a 28-2 run in the second quarter to go up 55-10 at halftime.
Karsyn Freeman led the Pirates in scoring as usual with 27 points, but Ava Humphrey crashed into the scoring column herself, going 4 for 5 from the field and racking up 10 points.
“She doesn’t get a ton of minutes, but she’s doing a lot with the minutes she’s getting,” Adna coach Chris Bannish said.
Danika Hallom came close to a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds, and also logged five steals, while Bailey Chapman had eight points and Ashley VonMoos added seven.
Adna will take on Winlock on Friday.
