Following his threats to set off a bomb in Tacoma, federal prosecutors have charged a 46-year-old man from Graham, Washington with illegal possession of ammunition.

David Michael Eddo was arrested on Thursday and charged in U.S. District Court following an investigation into his threats to build and set off a bomb in a public area, according to a press release from the United States Attorney’s Office.. He remains detained at the Federal Detention Center at SeaTac while awaiting a hearing set for June 18, according to the release.

The release states that Eddo is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition because of a previous conviction for drive-by shooting and assault in Tacoma in 2019. Following that conviction, he was sentenced to 26 months in prison.

According to the release, the FBI began investigating Eddo in May 2025 for a “manifesto” claiming that he going to build and deploy a bomb to target certain people involved in litigation over his father’s death in Tacoma two decades ago.

Law enforcement searched Eddo’s home on June 12 and found materials that could be used to make explosives, along with two types of ammunition, according to the release. Illegal possession of ammunition carries a sentence of up to 15 years in prison.
