Late offense spurs Adna past Kalama

From the fourth inning on, the Pirates woke up at the plate, and scoring all seven runs in the final four innings allowed them to clip the Chinooks 7-4 on Friday night in a C2BL contest at home.

Adna (4-2, 4-1 C2BL) tied the game at two in the fourth from Owen Fagernes ripping a two-run pinch-hit single. After Kalama took the lead back, the Pirates held the lead for good with an RBI single by Cameron Nakano, a bases-loaded walk, and Nakano stealing home.

Two more in the seventh added insurance for the Pirates. Nakano snared the win on the mound, striking out seven in over three innings in relief. The left-hander gave up just four hits and one earned run.

Beau Miller notched two hits for Adna.
