Edward Anderson passed away Nov. 1, 2026, at his home in Evaline, where he had lived his entire life. He attended Evaline School, as did his son and also his mother. He graduated from Winlock High School in 1964, served six years in the National Guard, was a volunteer Winlock fireman for 25 years and also served on the Evaline School Board for 25 years.
Ed loved animals. He loved coffee with Jerry, Joe and Jeff for many years at “Jerry's Coffee Shop.” He loved Marc, who helped with everything and was like a brother. He loved the angels he met from Hospice on this last journey, Wendy, Christina and Tammi, who took such good care of him. He loved Janette, who not only cooked delicious meals for him, she managed to do it from Kennewick and get to us here these last months.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret, and the family home in Evaline, and a son, Eric, and wife Lisa, also of Evaline. Instead of flowers, Ed would say, “Take a friend for a cup of coffee!” Services for Ed will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, at Winlock Cemetery at noon. A light reception will follow at the Christian Fellowship Church at 630 Cemetery Road, Winlock.
For everyone who stopped by these last months, for everyone who prayed with us and those who prayed for us, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Services are under the care of Cattermole Funeral Home, Winlock, Washington.
