In loving memory of Brandon Blurton: 1988-2023

Posted

It is with great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Brandon MJ Blurton, age 35, on July 12, 2023, in Chehalis, Washington.

Brandon was born in Chehalis on March 10, 1988, to Raymond Blurton and Brigette Dodge. He attended schools in Chehalis and Winlock and graduated from Naselle High School in 2006.

Brandon worked many years for A&L Slaughtering, Heritage Meats and Puget Sound Processing. He enjoyed these jobs and was good at what he did. He was always a hard worker and everyone could count on him.

Brandon had three beautiful children — Savannah, Nolan and Tyler — who were the light of his life and he always said, “being a dad is the hardest job I’ve ever had, but it's the best job I’ve ever had.”

Brandon enjoyed riding dirt bikes and quads with his children, cheering on his boys for football, mudding and playing pranks. He always had a joke to tell. He had a love for Ford Rangers, nachos, NOS, peanut butter fudge, chocolate peanut butter pie and his Gram’s “Gotcha” bars.

Brandon will be greatly missed by all who knew him. There will never be a day that goes by that we will not wish he was still here with us. We as a family will make sure his legacy lives on and he will never be forgotten.

Brandon is survived by his wife, Camio Blurton; father, Raymond Blurton; mother, Brigette Romero; stepmother, Laurie Blurton; siblings, Courtney Blurton-Velazquez (Anthony), Lucas Blurton (Brittany) and Katelyn Blurton (David); grandmother, Mardonna Mueller; his children, Savannah, Nolan and Tyler Blurton, as well as their mother Mary Cook; nephews, Hydrek, Leo, Emrick and Draven; niece, Jasmine; plus numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

A celebration of life is planned for noon on Saturday, Aug. 5, at Lincoln Creek Grange, 1500 Lincoln Creek Road, Rochester, Washington, 98579. This will be a potluck, so please bring a dish to share.
