In loving memory of Martin Towner: 1942-2026

Posted
Martin Paul Towner was born Nov. 7, 1942, in Centralia, Washington. His parents were Clarence E. Towner and Eleanor M. Kulien McMillion. He fought a long, hard battle with cancer and passed away peacefully on Sept. 19, 2026, at his home with family close by.

Martin attended schools in Centralia and Mossyrock, graduating high school in 1962. That same year he married Edith (Keenan) Towner. They were parents to Kenneth (Judy), Jeffrey (Pam) and Kristine; grandparents to six granddaughters and great-grandparents to four children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Jeffrey and sister Karen Towner Estes. He is survived by his wife, Edith; his children, Kenneth and Kristine; brother David Towner; and his grandchildren.

He always looked forward to and loved hunting season here in Western Washington and was looking forward to new hunting trips this fall with family. He loved family time, and we miss him always.

Martin was a talented tinkerer by trade as a pipefitter and a home hobbyist. He was an honest, hard worker who gave everyone his best. He touched many friends with his kindness, humor and words of wisdom.

Friends and family are welcome to celebrate Martin’s life Nov. 7 at the Winlock Senior Services Center, beginning at 1 p.m. Snacks will be provided. Guests are encouraged to share favorite memories that made him so special to all who knew him.
