In loving memory of Blake Hansen: 1990-2023

Posted

Blake Daniel Hansen was born on Nov. 16, 1990 to Tracey Rader and Daniel Hansen in Centralia, Washington. Blake had a full head of curly hair that bounced when he walked. He was kind and always smiling. In his younger years he enjoyed music and playing guitar. Blake loved spending time with his friends, especially outdoors, and he had an amazing sense of humor.

Blake graduated from Oakville High School in 2009. Later that year, Blake was blessed with a beautiful daughter, Brenna Kay Hansen on Dec. 18, 2009. He loved her dearly and talked about how beautiful she was often.

Blake had joined the Lewis County Drug Court Program in June of 2022, to begin his recovery journey and restore his life and relationship with his daughter. Blake worked extremely hard in the program and developed a huge community and support network within the program. Blake made it a priority to show up and be there for everyone in his community, he loved his people deeply and would do anything for them.

His dream was to become a barber, and he achieved that goal by obtaining his barber’s license. Blake would often cut the hair of children and participants for free.

He leaves behind his beloved daughter Brenna; parents Tracey and Daniel; stepmother Amy; siblings Dylan, Alexia, Alley, Bradley and Britanny; step-siblings Josh, Brady, Zack, Isaiah, Amanda and Allison; Grandma Nell and many cousins, as well as nieces and nephews. Blake also leaves behind his best friend, and accountability buddy DJ Miller, whom he loved and cherished.

Blake’s family and friends will forever be impacted by his amazing life here on earth. His laughter and kind heart were a tremendous blessing to everyone in his life. We will miss you, Blake.
