Centralia College to celebrate 100 years with Centennial Picnic on Sept. 13

Centralia College is celebrating its 100th birthday with a free family picnic, according to a news release from the college.

The Centennial Picnic will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, on Littel Commencement Field near the clocktower at Centralia College.

Events the release stated will be held at the picnic include a cornhole tournament, axe-throwing, Mr. Twister Balloons, Centralia College Centennial Blend Coffee (Mint City Roasters) for sale, street magic, face painting and Blazer Bill temporary tattoos, bubble blowing, sidewalk art, food trucks and farmers market vendors, opening a Centralia College Time Capsule from 1950, and a women’s soccer match vs. Lower Columbia College at 2:15 p.m.



In addition, attendees should bring chairs and picnic blankets to reserve a spot for the 8:30 p.m. drone show sponsored by the City of Centralia.

This event is free and open to all.
