Led yet again by a consistent effort from big man Soren Dalan down low, the W.F. West boys basketball team defeated Sedro-Woolley on the road Wednesday afternoon, 53-38.
The Bearcats made the trip Wednesday after a Tuesday night win on the peninsula against Sequim, taking a ferry ride over and holding the Cubs to just 38 points in the win.
Dalan scored a game-high 20 points to go along with 19 rebounds and four blocks, and Tyler Klatush also scored in double figures with 10 points. Sophomore Gage Brumfield scored eight points and led the perimeter defensive effort, and hammered down a thunderous dunk in the fourth quarter that brought the bench to its feet late.
The Bearcats will resume league play starting next week after the New Year on January 3 against Aberdeen.
