Taking the long jaunt up Highway 101 and the peninsula, the W.F. West boys basketball team made sure it didn’t leave the nearly three-hour bus ride without a win, defeating Sequim Tuesday night, 60-41.
The Bearcats got another steady double-double from Soren Dalan, who scored 16 points and hauled in 15 rebounds, and Parker Eiswald joined him in double figures with 12 points.
While Dalan got the party started, with 10 points in the first quarter, Eiswald delivered the finishing blow, scoring all 12 of his points on four 3-pointers in the third quarter.
Tyler Klatush and Gage Brumfield each added eight points, as well.
The Bearcats will continue their journey north on Wednesday, when they take on Sedro-Woolley at 3 p.m.
