Bearcats dominate in sweep of Wolves

The W.F. West tennis team improved to 6-4 with a sweep over Black Hills on Friday, led by top singles player Christian Patana, who won 11 straight games to win his match after trailing 2-1 in the first set.

First singles: Christian Patana (WFW) def. Dylan Browne (BH) 6-2, 6-0

Second singles: Braden Newman (WFW) def Kale Bacon (BH) 6-3, 6-0

Third singles: Gabe Priest (WFW) won via forfeit

First doubles: Javyn Han/Will Cummings (WFW) def. Case Thissell/Parees Deol (BH) 6-1, 6-0

Second doubles: Tyler Smith/Sawyer Cothern (WFW) def. Brennan Greis/Brody Stovens (BH) 6-0, 6-1

Third doubles: Jonah Ames/Ryan Becker (WFW) def. Garrott Holman/Kenny Hyungh (BH) 6-0, 6-1

The Bearcats are now 5-2 in league play, a mark they’ll look to improve on Monday when they head to Shelton. 

 



Tigers sweep Aberdeen

The Centralia boys tennis team had an easy time with Aberdeen on Friday, only dropping 10 games in a 6-0 win.

First singles: Jacoby Corwin (CEN) def. Eric Lind (ABR) 6-0, 6-1

Second singles: Jonah Lowe (CEN) def. Alex Ramos (ABR) 6-2, 6-1

Third singles: Pablo Dominguez (CEN) def. Steven Fonseca (ABR) 6-1, 6-2

First doubles: Conner O’Dell/Kadin Yeung (CEN) def. Kevin Eng/Jacob Natwick (ABR) 6-0, 6-0

Second doubles: Justin Kuykendall/Jordan Yeung (CEN) def. David Miramontes/Adan Martinez (ABR) 6-1, 6-0

Third doubles: Kycen Donahue/Isaac Parkin (CEN) def. Toby Patterson/Ayden Griffin (ABR) 6-2, 6-0
