Seahawks fans planning to ferry from Bainbridge to Seattle this weekend can breathe a sigh of relief, as the Wenatchee, which was pulled from its route after striking a log on Wednesday, is back in service.
Regular sailings began around 2:10 p.m. Saturday, according to Washington State Ferries. The route is now back to capacity ahead of the Seahawks' NFC Championship Game against the Los Angeles Rams, which is expected to draw large numbers of fans via ferry Sunday.
The Wenatchee was traveling through dense fog when it hit a log earlier this week; it needed repairs to a bent propeller blade and an inner shaft seal.
The ferry can hold 202 cars — 112 more than the Sealth, which was filling in on the Bainbridge run while the Wenatchee underwent repairs.
