Get ready to rev up your engines and marvel at the sixth annual Adna Car Show, taking place on July 18 and 19.

From classic models to muscle cars, there’s something for every car enthusiast to enjoy. With live entertainment, food vendors and activities for the whole family, the Adna Car Show, organized by Adna Grocery and Uncle Jim’s Smokehouse, promises to be a weekend of fun and excitement.

Events and activities scheduled for the car show include food and craft vendors, a cornhole tournament, live bands, DJ music, live and silent auctions, a 50/50 drawing and possibly a car parts swap meet, according to event organizer Jim Smith.

To start off the show at noon Friday, July 18, Sydney Kinswa will sing The Star-Spangled Banner as an American flag is parachuted in by a skydiver. The American flag will be donated by Kyle Deskins, owner of the D9 Market in Ethel. Kinswa will perform the national anthem again at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 19.

This year will include a live auction at 6 p.m. Friday and a silent auction at 3 p.m. Saturday.

The Backfire Band will also perform at 6 p.m. Saturday.

Like years prior, the car show will be held in the field across from the Adna Grocery Store, located at 109 Bunker Creek Road, Chehalis.

As in past years, all proceeds after expenses will go to the 2025 Adna High School seniors who volunteer their time helping at the show.

In 2020, the Adna Car Show raised $7,989; in 2021, $16,698; in 2022, $17,680; in 2023, $29,350; and in 2024, $29,165, for a total of $100,882 donated to the Adna Scholarship Committee.

The Adna Car Show originated in 2020, on the third Friday and Saturday of July.

During the COVID-19, the Adna Car Show was one of very few that was still held. Smith said that “we as a group decided that we would defy the governor’s orders and go ahead and do this thing.”

As a result, the Adna Car Show Camp and Cruise was born. It had over 220 cars at that first event.

Last year, the car show had 145 cars, and the event keeps growing. This year will include a Jeep section and motorcycle section in addition to the cars.
