100+ Women Who Care: Inaugural event features three Lewis County nonprofits

Organizers behind 100+ Women Who Care are inviting the public to the inaugural event.

It will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6, at the historic Lewis and Clark Hotel in downtown Centralia.

The event will showcase three local nonprofits: Boys & Girls Club of Lewis County, Onalaska Farm Sanctuary and the Toledo Community Foundation.

Attendees will hear 10-minute presentations from each organization about their mission, impact and needs. Then, participants will vote to determine which nonprofit will receive the donations raised during the event.

According to organizers, the 100+ Women Who Care model is simple yet transformative: gather, learn, donate and make an impact — all within an evening.

“Lewis County is filled with passionate individuals who want to give back to their community, and we are thrilled to launch this initiative,” said Vanessa Horning, the event organizer. “We hope you’ll join us for an evening of connection, inspiration and meaningful support for our local nonprofits.”

No tickets or reservations necessary, and the only cost to attend is the $100 donation.

100+ Women Who Care organizers extend gratitude to all the Lewis County nonprofits that applied to participate in their inaugural event, as well as the Centralia-Chehalis Soroptimist Club for sponsoring it. For this first gathering, three nonprofit organizations were chosen randomly.
