Mossyrock falls to Crosspoint in non-league affair

The Mossyrock baseball team couldn’t slow down Crosspoint late on Saturday, as the Vikings fell 10-4 in a home non-league contest.

The Vikings (4-3, 2-0 1A CVL) trailed 2-0 after one, but responded with four in the third, including a three-run double from Wylde Greisen.

It was all Warriors from that point on, however, as they retook the lead in the fifth with a four-run frame and added three insurance runs in the top of the seventh.

Greisen, Easton Kolb, and Hunter Isom all hit doubles, and Isom also brought home a run on his extra-base hit.

Greisen pitched the first four and two-thirds on the bump, allowing three hits and six runs (three earned) while walking and striking out three. Mason Atter took over for the final two and a third, allowing two hits and four runs (none earned) while walking one and striking out four.

Mossyrock returns to league play at Mary M. Knight on Monday.
