Mossyrock manhandles Wishkah Valley in run-rule win

Behind most of the Vikings roster getting a plate appearance and executing 12 stolen bases, they were on cruise control in a 20-4 win over the Loggers on Thursday night in Mossyrock.

All the Vikings (6-4) needed were six hits as they capitalized on nine Wishkah Valley errors and drew nine walks. They didn’t get the ball out of the infield in their first 10 at-bats and went up 6-0, then Wylde Greisen roped a two-run single in the midst of an 11-run opening inning.

Mossyrock added two more in the third and put the finishing touches on a victory with a seven-run fourth. Greisen drove in three runs while Easton Kolb had two RBIs, three runs scored and four stolen bases.

Three Vikings pitchers combined to allow four hits and strikeout 11 Loggers at the plate. Mossyrock is scheduled to play Napavine on Tuesday afternoon at home.
