Sirens: Dog Bites Boy; Theft at Cemetery; Medical Fraud

Domestic Violence, Threats 

• Deputies arrested a 34-year-old Centralia man after he allegedly made his ex-girlfriend and current roommate afraid that he would harm her. Mark S. Chesler was arrested for third-degree malicious mischief and harassment, domestic violence, after he broke two ceramic bowls against a garage door at a residence in the 800 block of Cowlitz Road in Centralia. He also allegedly threatened to break every bone in the woman’s body. The victim told deputies, who arrived at 5:50 p.m. Monday, that she was afraid Chesler would physically hurt her and her daughter, who was also at the home. Deputies located and arrested Chesler behind a storage shed behind the residence. He denied breaking the bowls and making threats, and was booked into the Lewis County Jail.

Dog Bites Boy

• A 5-year-old boy from Morton sustained superficial wounds to his lower right back area after a 2-year-old blue heeler mixed-breed dog bit him. The incident took place in the 100 block of Chapman Road at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. The boy and the dog’s owner, a 51-year-old man, are related. The incident took place as the boy was trying to take a bone away from the dog; the dog is currently being quarantined, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

 

Centralia Police Department

Pepper Sprayed

• Rose A. Blanchette was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly spraying a victim with pepper spray in the 2400 block of Fords Prairie Avenue at 1:48 Wednesday afternoon.

Theft at Greenwood Cemetery

• Two flower pots were reported stolen from a grave site in Greenwood Memorial Park at 9:52 p.m. Wednesday.

Flag Theft

• At 11:31 a.m. Tuesday, police received a report of flags having been stolen in the 900 block of North Washington Avenue in Centralia.

Minor in Possession

• Police referred a juvenile for bringing alcohol to Centralia Middle School at 1:12 p.m. Tuesday.

Medical Fraud

• A known suspect tried to pass a forged prescription in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue in Centralia at 6:54 p.m. Tuesday.

Assault, Warrant

• Mario S. Arellano-Zanabria, 26, Centralia, was booked for fourth-degree assault and an outstanding warrant in the 2600 block of Cooks Hill Road in Centralia at 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Protection Order Violation

• Natasha A. Grubb, 24, Centralia, was arrested and booked for violation of a protection order in the 100 block of West Maple Street at 9:58 Wednesday morning.

Assault

• Ermelinda Baldovinos, 30, Centralia, was arrested and booked on an outstanding warrant in the 1100 block of J Street at 3:29 Wednesday afternoon.
