Sirens: Warrant, Suspended License and a Broken Fence; Paypal Theft; Stolen Lotion and Tweezers

Stolen Sign

• A 58-year-old Packwood woman reported at 11:33 p.m. Wednesday that an unknown suspect stole a sign that was on the end of her driveway that read “Moon Mountain Lodging” on the 600 block of Cannon Road in Packwood. The wooden sign had painted white letters on it and was valued at $100.

Missing Money

• A 56-year-old Onalaska man reported Thursday that on June 30 he used an ATM at a credit union on the 200 block of Second Street in Onalaska and accidentally left his wallet behind. Later that day, Washington State Patrol contacted him to let him know that his wallet had been turned in. When the man retrieved his wallet, $150 was missing. Police do not know who turned the wallet in.

Paypal Theft

• A 66-year-old Mossyrock man contacted deputies to report a fraudulent purchase on his Visa card at 8 a.m. Thursday. The man said Paypal called him earlier that day to ask if he made a $964.93 purchase, which he did not. The man later contacted the vendor to let them know the purchase was fraudulent and found out the shipping address for the purchase, which was in Tukwila. The case is currently under investigation.

Centralia Police Department

Warrant, Suspended License and a Broken Fence

• Mitchell W. Sinclair, 43, Chehalis, was arrested and booked for several outstanding warrants after he drove off the road, into a fence and almost hit a house on South Gold Street and East Chestnut Street. Sinclair also allegedly almost hit an off-duty deputy who was driving on the same street. Sinclair was cited for allegedly driving with a suspended license.

Criminal Trespass

• David H. Mosteller, 59, Centralia, was arrested and booked for alleged criminal trespass on the 800 block of South Tower Avenue at 12:25 p.m. Thursday.

Burglary

• A pressure washer, battery-powered weed eater and other items were reported stolen from a residence on the 2300 block of Eureka Avenue at 5:53 p.m. Thursday.

Marijuana Violation

• Spencer E. Greseth, 20, Centralia was arrested and released for alleged possession of marijuana on the 2400 block of Cooks Hill Road at 12:12 a.m. Friday.

Slashed Tires

• Two vehicle tires were reportedly slashed while the vehicle was parked and unoccupied on the 100 block of South Tower Avenue at 1:41 a.m. Friday.

Criminal Trespass

• Joshua D. Clark, 22, Centralia, and Matthew T. Owen, 25, Centralia, were both cited for alleged criminal trespass at Delaware Avenue and Fulton Street at 1:50 a.m. Friday. Owen was also cited for a vehicle prowl as he allegedly stole a fire extinguisher from a large military vehicle that was on a rail car.

Chehalis Police Department

Stolen Lotion and Tweezers

• Carolyn L. Allison, 42, Centralia, was arrested for third-degree theft after she allegedly attempted to shoplift a bottle of lotion and a package of tweezers, valued at $12.93, from Walmart at 1:17 p.m. Wednesday.

Stolen Vacuums

• Daniel P. Jacobsen, 30, Lacey, was arrested and booked for third-degree theft after he allegedly attempted to shoplift two vacuum cleaners, valued at $650, from Walmart at 5:46 p.m.

Persistent Hitchhiker

• Donald B. Lindberg, 25, Chehalis, was arrested and booked into jail for disorderly conduct after he allegedly attempted to forcibly enter multiple cars at 10:53 p.m. Wednesday on Louisiana Avenue. A caller reported that Lindberg was allegedly rolling in the street, making it appear as if he was intentionally trying to get hit by cars on Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way. Police contacted Lindberg near Louisiana Avenue after another caller reported he was standing in the middle of an intersection, jumping in front of cars and banging on a car window.

Green Hill School Assault

• A 16-year-old Green Hill School inmate was arrested for second-degree assault after he allegedly punched a 15-year-old inmate on the side of his head, knocking him unconscious and to the ground at 8:49 a.m. Tuesday. Once on the ground, he allegedly began kicking him and dislocated the victim’s shoulder. The victim was transported to a hospital.

Alcohol and a Scratch

• Tasean E. Witherwax, 19, Chehalis, was arrested for fourth-degree assault and minor consuming alcohol after she allegedly scratched her boyfriend in the chest on Northwest Chehalis Avenue at 2:59 a.m. Wednesday.

Violation of a No-Contact Order

• Carl D. Luna, 44, a transient, was arrested and booked into jail for allegedly violating a no-contact order at 11:25 p.m. Wednesday after someone called police to report a couple who were arguing loudly at the fairgrounds.
