CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Man Booked for Alleged Bike Chain Assault

• At 2:19 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 600 block of North Tower Avenue and arrested Juan P. Madera-Romero, 28, of Centralia on suspicion of second-degree assault for allegedly assaulting his roommate with a bicycle chain.

 

Thefts

• At 2:49 p.m. Wednesday, a theft of numerous items was reported from a business in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue.

• At 4:33 p.m. Thursday, a theft of an Amazon Alexa was reported in the 2600 block of Borst Avenue.

 

Man Booked for Theft

• At 3:25 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested Brendon E. Lopez, 22, of Chehalis on suspicion of third-degree theft.

 

Woman Arrested on Suspicion of Meth Possession

• At 6:19 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 800 block of H Street and arrested Misty M. Lopez, 42, of Centralia on suspicion of possession of meth and on a warrant from Puyallup Municipal Court.

 

Man Allegedly Steals Liquor from Store, Summons Issued

• At 6:38 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue and issued a summons to Joshua J. Berglund, 30, of Centralia on suspicion of third-degree theft, after he allegedly took a bottle of liquor from a store.

Motorcyclist Sustains Injury in Construction Zone Crash

• At 7:28 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 2900 block of Borst Avenue after a motorcyclist driving through a construction zone fell, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.

 

Suspended License Arrests

• At 11:14 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 500 block of South Tower Avenue and arrested and booked Bradley G. Dubay, 24, of Centralia on suspicion of third-degree driving while license suspended and failing to transfer ownership of a vehicle.

• At 4:36 a.m. Thursday, police responded to the intersection of Harrison and Belmont avenues and arrested David M. Sanders, 49, of Spokane on suspicion of third-degree driving with a suspended license and failure to transfer title within 45 days.

• At 4:31 a.m. Friday, police responded to the 1500 block of South Gold Street and arrested Bradley G. Dubay, 24, of Centralia on suspicion of third-degree driving on a suspended license.

 

Dog Stolen Out of Car

• At 3:28 p.m. Thursday, a theft of a dog was reported in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road.

 

Man Arrested for Domestic Violence

• At 3:33 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the 1100 block of Long Road and arrested Juan C. Vergara-Garcia, 32, of Centralia on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

 

Three Called to Court for Assault, Theft Reports

• At 6:04 p.m. Thursday, police issued a summons to Orval L. Chancy, 56, of Centralia for a charge of third-degree theft.

• At 6:43 p.m. Thursday, police issued a summons to Jason R. Ferris, 33, of Centralia for a charge of fourth-degree assault.

• At 8:40 p.m. Thursday, police issued a summons to Keith J. Rose, 41, of Centralia for a charge of fourth-degree assault.

 

Man Arrested on Suspicion of Possession of Meth

• At 8:14 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the 800 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested Joshua D. Ferguson, 41, of Centralia on a suspicion of possession of meth and four outstanding Centralia Municipal Court warrants.

 

Window Shattered Overnight

• At 4:55 a.m. Friday, police received a report of a large window shattered sometime overnight in the 900 block of West Main Street.

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Two Men Seen Yelling at Each Other

• At 8:58 a.m. Wednesday, two upset men were seen yelling at each other in the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way.

 

Hit and Runs 

• At 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, a hit and run was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

• At 9:44 p.m. Thursday, a hit and run was reported in the 2500 block of North National Avenue.

 

Caller Hears Screaming Child

• At 11:33 a.m. Wednesday, police were alerted that a child was heard screaming for about 15 minutes in the 200 block of Northeast Washington Avenue. The caller advised they thought they heard “hitting noises.”

 

Man Seen Camping in Parking Lot

• At 10:30 a.m. Thursday, police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue regarding a call of a man with a truck and trailer camping out in a parking lot.

 

Vehicle Prowl Reported

• At 12:05 p.m. Thursday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 600 block of Northwest New York Avenue.

 

Business Reports Shoplifter

• At 1 p.m. Thursday, a business in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue reported two shoplifters.

 

Small Child Found in the Street

• At 2:49 p.m. Thursday, police received a report from the 1400 block of Southwest Mills Avenue of a little kid in the road. The caller said the child’s mom ran out to the road and grabbed the child.

 

Motorcycle Stolen

• At 9:05 p.m. Thursday, a theft of a black Harley Davidson motorcycle was reported in the 1300 block of Northwest River Street.

 

Caller Reports Fight, Possibly Involving Drugs

• At 10:29 p.m. Thursday, police were advised of a physical fight between two men in the 100 block of West Main Street. The fight turned verbal, and one of the men may have been on drugs.

 

Break-In Reported

• At 6:51 a.m. Friday, police were alerted to a break-in in the 1100 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue.

 

LEWIS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE 

Dog Owner Given Citation

• At 1:06 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to the 100 block of Sunnycrest Lane North, Packwood, and issued a citation for a loose dog.

 

Transient Male Starts Fire

At 5:59 a.m. Friday, deputies responded to Military and Avery roads in Winlock of a transient male who had started a campfire to stay warm. The fire was extinguished and the man was given a courtesy ride.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 222 inmates with 185 in general population and 37 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 149 were male and 36 were female and of WERC inmates, 33 were male and four were female. A total of 43 inmates were booked through contracts outside Lewis County.
