Lewis County PUD Asks Customers to Confirm Their Information

In the wake of windy weather that resulted in widespread power outages in Lewis County and across western Washington, the Lewis County Public Utility District encouraged customers to confirm their information with PUD to improve response times to future outages.

“The PUD would like to take a moment and say thank you to our customers. Over the past several weeks our region has experienced several wind storms. We work hard to prevent outages from occurring, but when they do, we are often reminded that we have a very resilient and patient community,” reads a press release from the PUD.

Customers can check the status of an outage online using their Outage WebMap. The map includes real-time information showing where outages have been logged. The map is optimized for display on cellphones, according to the press release, so customers can access it even if they don’t have power to their computers.

“To assure timely and accurate communications, and to better respond in the event of an outage, we need current phone numbers and mailing addresses,” reads the release. “Please contact the PUD at (800) 562-5612 to confirm your information.”
