Free Tire Recycling This Week in Randle, Next Month in Winlock

Posted

Lewis County residents will have two opportunities in the next few weeks to recycle old tires for free thanks to the Lewis County Solid Waste Utility and the state Department of Ecology.

Tires can be dropped off at the Lewis County Public Works shop at 8911 U.S. Highway 12 in Randle from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Those in the Twin Cities can take advantage of the program during the same hours on May 2-4 at 1105 Winlock-Vader Road in Winlock.

Passenger and light truck tires will be accepted on or off the rim. Semi-truck tires can be recycled only if they’re taken off the rim. Tires from heavy machinery will not be accepted.
