An 11-year-old White Pass Elementary School student was arrested Thursday after allegedly threatening to shoot his teacher, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

The threat was reported at 9:40 a.m. on Thursday at the elementary school. Deputies arrived at 11 a.m. and learned that the sixth-grade student was reportedly misbehaving and told to return to his seat by his teacher, identified as a 57-year-old Randle woman.

The boy reportedly threatened to shoot the woman, who believed it was a credible threat.

The boy was arrested and booked into Lewis County Juvenile Detention on suspicion of threatening a school employee.

This is the second recent arrest of a White Pass student for a threat. On Feb. 28, the sheriff’s office arrested a 15-year-old White Pass High School boy for allegedly making threats of “going on a killing spree and hurting other students,” according to the sheriff’s office.

Students and staff reported threatening statements by the boy, who was arrested for the threats.

Students at the school told staff the boy made statements about taking a truck and using it to “commit mass murder at the school apparently by driving over other students,” according to the sheriff’s office.
