A Richland woman was injured in a four-vehicle collision near Mossyrock Friday.

All four vehicles were totaled in the crash caused by driving too fast for the icy conditions 1 mile west of Mossyrock on U.S. Highway 12, according to the Washington State Patrol.

A 2004 Ford F-150 pickup driven by Hazel F. Waldo, 74, of Castle Rock, was traveling eastbound and lost control on the icy roadway.

Waldo entered the westbound lane and collided with Riley B. Overby, 21, of Toledo, who was driving a 1996 Ford F-350 pickup.

Overby went into the eastbound lane, hitting the third vehicle driven Phoebe H. Young, 83, of Richland.

Young’s vehicle, a 2010 Toyota Camry, stopped on the centerline and was hit by Colleen Littlejohn, 44, of Glenoma, who was driving a 2006 Chrysler 300C.

Young was injured and transported to Morton General Hospital.

All drivers were wearing seat belts.
