Thurston County Authorities Find 250 Pot Plants, Over $110,000 in Olympia Home

Thurston County authorities searched a house west of Olympia Monday afternoon, uncovering a sophisticated marijuana growing operation to include about 250 plants and over $110,000 in cash.

The Thurston County Narcotics Task say, in a press release, the team received information about a house in the 2300 block of Summit Lake Shore Road Northwest, and detained two subjects while conducting the search.

Specifically, the search warrant was executed at 4 p.m. and used to search two buildings and a property. It was specifically meant to find evidence of an unlawful marijuana growing operation and for intent to deal.

Of the two people detained, the press release states that one male subject was arrested on suspicion of manufacturing a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. He was booked in the Thurston County jail, and goes unnamed in the press release.

Along with the plants and cash, authorities found about 300 pounds of processed pot and a shotgun.

The investigation is ongoing, the press release reads, and more arrests are anticipated.
