Teen Rescued After 30-foot Fall at Mount Rainier National Park

ASHFORD, Wash. (AP) — A Mount Rainier National Park spokeswoman says park rangers have rescued an injured 18-year-old man who fell 30 to 40 feet in an area below Christine Falls.

Spokeswoman Patti Wold said the Tacoma, Washington, man suffered multiple injuries in the fall Thursday and was flown to a hospital.

She says an initial assessment indicated a head injury and a broken arm.

The teen was not identified by name.
