Centralia Police Department

Malicious Mischief Damages Garage Door

• At 10:33 a.m.  on Monday, malicious mischief was reported in the 700 block of South Gold Street. Sensor wires on a garage door were cut.

Hit and Runs

• At 12:52 p.m. on Monday, a hit and run was reported in the 500 block of North Pearl Street. A large box truck hit the Riverside Fire Authority’s station, while attempting to drive down the alley, causing minor damage to the building. The box truck left the scene. 

• At 11:08 p.m. on Monday, a hit and run was reported in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue. A black Ford F-350 truck reportedly backed into two vehicles and drove off. 

Suspect Booked on No-Contact Order Violation

• At 1:21 p.m. on Monday, police responded to the 200 block of Centralia College Boulevard and arrested Aaron J. Henning, 28, of Centralia, on suspicion of violating a no-contact order. 

Woman Booked on Assault Charge After Seen Chasing Elderly Man

• At 7:16 p.m. on Monday, police in the 1000 block of South Scheuber Road reported seeing a woman “chasing an elderly male and trying to assault him,” according to the police department. Tracy L. Thoreson, 48, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault. According to police, the man was not injured, and it is unknown what caused the altercation. 

Man Vandalizes Signs with Marker

• At 8:18 p.m. on Monday, police received a report of an adult male using a marker to vandalize signs in the 300 block of North Washington Avenue. No arrests were made. 

Cell Phone Stolen

• At 8:51 a.m. on Tuesday, a cell phone was reported stolen in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road. 

Portland Driver Cited for Reckless Driving After Being Clocked at 100 MPH on I-5

• At 12:12 p.m. on Tuesday, police at milepost 84 of Interstate 5 cited Adrian Khoudsiani, 40, of Portland, Oregon, on suspicion of reckless driving. He was reportedly caught traveling at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour while weaving in and out of traffic.

Ethel Suspect Booked on Warrant, Assault Charge

• At 12:33 p.m. on Tuesday, police responded to the 800 block of Field Avenue and arrested Kevin A. J. Frady, 19, of Ethel, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault and a Lewis County District Court warrant. 

Vehicle Prowl

• At 12:35 p.m. on Tuesday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 2200 block of Eureka Avenue. A wallet was stolen. 

Employee Suspected of Stealing Alcohol

• At 1:05 p.m. on Tuesday, police responded to the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue and issued Daisy J. Homer, 19, of Centralia, a court summons on a charge of third-degree theft. Homer, an employee of the store, was accused of stealing a bottle of alcohol, according to police. 

 Man Throws Beer at Car, Suspect Identified

• At 1:22 a.m. on Wednesday, malicious mischief was reported in the 1500 block of South Gold Street. A man reportedly threw a can of beer at an unoccupied vehicle, “causing significant damage,” according to police. A suspect has been identified. 

Chehalis Police Department

Trespassers Reported

• At 9:58 a.m. on Monday, a trespasser was reported in the 600 block of West Main Street. No arrests were reported. 

• At 10:12 p.m. on Monday, a trespasser was reported on South Market Boulevard. 

Package Stolen

• At 6:16 p.m. on Monday, a package was reported stolen on Southwest Chehalis Avenue between March and April. 

Shoplifter Takes Candy, Chocolate Milk

• At 7:06 p.m. on Monday, a shoplifter was reported in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard. The suspect, described as a man wearing a black shirt and carrying a guitar, took candy and chocolate milk. 

Vehicle Prowls

• At 5:28 p.m. on Tuesday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 200 block of Southwest John Street. Damage was reported to the vehicle. 

• At 6:51 a.m. on Wednesday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 700 block of Northwest Liberty Place. 

Child Molestation Reported

• At 5:52 p.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of child molestation from the 700 block of Southwest McFadden Avenue. No further information was available.  

DUI

• At 9:43 p.m. on Tuesday, police reported observing a vehicle driving erratically on Northeast Median Street. Driver Sean A. Whittaker, 31, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. 

Lewis County Jail Statistics

• As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 213 inmates, with 175 in general population and 38 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 140 were male and 35 were female and of WERC inmates, 36 were male and two female. A total of 30 inmates were booked through contracts with agencies outside Lewis County.
