Sirens: Windows Shattered, Likely by Pellet Gun; Two People Spotted Using Drugs in Vehicle

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

 

Trespass Suspect Booked

• At 12:32 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 500 block of South Rock Street and arrested Kendra J. Chancy, 34, of Centralia on suspicion of second-degree criminal trespass.

 

Man Returned to Court-Ordered Treatment Center

• At 6:32 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 1300 block of Mellen Street to locate and return a man who had absconded from court-ordered treatment.

 

Thefts

• At 11:44 a.m. Wednesday, a theft of merchandise was reported at a store in the 1300 block of Lum Road. Three subjects collectively stole around $50 worth of goods.

• At 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, a theft of rental property was reported in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue.

• At 5:12 p.m. Thursday, police were alerted that a man walked into a business in the 1300 block of Lum Road, swapped the pair of shoes he was wearing with a new pair and ran out without paying.

 

Windows Shattered, Likely by Pellet Gun

• At 7:38 p.m. Wednesday, police were notified someone shattered the windows of a bus shelter in the 1400 block of Johnson Road. Police suspect someone shot the windows with a BB or pellet gun.

 

Windows Vandalized

• At 11:34 a.m. Thursday, a caller reported that the windows of a business in the 100 block of North Pearl Street had been vandalized.

• At 11:36 p.m. Thursday, police were notified that someone threw a rock through a business’ window in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road.

• At 6:23 a.m. Friday, someone reported a vehicle’s rear window had been broken in the 1000 block of Roosevelt Avenue.

• At 7:14 a.m. Friday, police were alerted that a vehicle’s driver’s side window had been broken.

 

Suspect Booked for Alleged Meth Possession

• At 1:09 p.m. Thursday, police responded to the 1200 block of Main Street and arrested Armando I. Carbajal Paz, 23, of Centralia on suspicion of possession of meth.

 

Vehicle Prowl

• At 5:07 p.m. Thursday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 1300 block of Lum Road. A window was broken and items were taken from the vehicle.

Burglary

• At 7:31 p.m. Wednesday, a burglary was reported in the 2500 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue. Someone broke in that night, the caller said.

 

Two People Spotted Using Drugs in Vehicle

• At 11:14 a.m. Wednesday, two people were seen in a vehicle, parked in a parking lot in the 500 block of South Market Boulevard, shooting up drugs.

 

Man Keen on a Fight

• At 12:16 p.m. Wednesday, a caller in the 500 block of North Market Boulevard reported a man was trying to pick a fight. The man was standing outside a business, making gun-like gestures with his fingers, but the caller didn’t think he actually had a weapon.

 

Person Stands By Detention Center, Throws Gang Signs

• At 6:05 p.m. Wednesday, a caller in the 300 block of Southwest 11th Street informed police that a subject was standing near the fence of a detention center, throwing gang signs and yelling for a detainee to be released. The reporting party said that they would be contacting the subject’s parole officer.

 

Police Requested to Trespass Individual

• At 8:14 p.m. Wednesday, police were requested in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue to remove and trespass a woman who was bothering customers and acting odd.

Theft

• At 10:40 a.m. Thursday, a scam that cost a business around $1,000 was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

 

Caller Worried About Missing Person

• At 12:58 p.m. Thursday, a caller in the 10 block of Northeast Median Street said they were concerned about a person they hadn’t seen in a couple months.

 

Person Seen Trespassing in Vacant House

• At 4:57 p.m. Thursday, a caller in the 600 block of Southwest William Avenue reported a woman was trespassing in a vacant house.

 

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 200 inmates, with 169 in general population, 30 in the work ethic and restitution center and one on work release. Of general population inmates, 139 were male and 30 were female and of WERC inmates, 26 were male and four were female. A total of 35 inmates were booked through contracts outside Lewis County.
