Vehicle Damaged in Malicious Mischief

• At 8:49 a.m. on Wednesday police received a report of malicious mischief in the 900 block of Long Road in Centralia. A person reported a window on their vehicle was broken. 

Fraud

• At 9:10 a.m. on Wednesday, fraud was reported in the 2800 block of Zenkner Valley Road. 

Centralia Man Arrested for Allegedly Hitting Person on the Head With Pistol

• At 9:53 a.m. on Wednesday, police responded to the 1000 block of North Tower Avenue and arrested Steven R. W. McCoy, 72, of Centralia, on suspicion of second-degree assault. He was accused of hitting a person on the head with a pistol during a dispute. 

Walker Stolen

• At 10:41 a.m. on Wednesday, a person reported a walker stolen from their yard in the 2400 block of North Pearl Street. 

Vehicle Prowls

• At 12:33 p.m. on Wednesday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 600 block of North Tower Avenue. Fishing gear was reported stolen from the truck. 

• At 3:07 a.m. on Thursday, a grease gun was reported stolen from a truck in the 200 block of North Oak Street in Centralia. 

Stereo Stolen

• At 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, stereo equipment was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1000 block of North Scheuber Road. 

Vehicle Damages Sign, Sprinkler

• At 6:34 a.m. on Thursday, police received a report of an incident in which a vehicle damaged a sign and a sprinkler head in the 900 block of Scheuber Road. 

Woman Accused of Punching Roommate

• At 7:59 a.m. on Thursday, police responded to the 200 block of East Chestnut Street in Centralia and issued a court summons to a 32-year-old Centralia woman on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence. The woman was accused of punching her roommate.

Teens Caught With Alcohol

• At 9:41 a.m. on Thursday, police responded to the 800 block of Eshom Road and contacted two 15-year-olds accused of possessing alcohol. The teens were referred to juvenile court prosecutors.

Cash Stolen

• At 10:48 a.m. on Thursday, $23 in cash was reported stolen from the 1300 block of Alexander Street.  

Police Recover Stolen Vehicle, Arrest Suspect

• At 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to the intersection of Cedar and West Plum streets and arrested Brandon R. Collado, 33, of Lacey, on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle. He allegedly attempted to flee on foot from police but was arrested with the help of a K9 unit. 

Hit and Run

• At 1:17 p.m. on Thursday, a hit and run was reported at the intersection of South Cedar Street and Centralia College Boulevard. A person reported another vehicle ran a stop sign and hit their vehicle. 

Man Cited for Trespassing

• At 1:21 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to the 1000 block of Eckerson Road and cited Michael B. Farley, 21, of Centralia, on suspicion of criminal trespassing. 

Suspect Booked for Warrant, Drug Possession

• At 4:20 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to the 800 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested Jesus D. Montano, 41, a transient from the Centralia area, on an outstanding felony warrant. He was also booked into the Lewis County Jail on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. 

Chehalis Police Department

One Cited on Disorderly Conduct Charge

• At 4:16 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to the 100 block of North Market Boulevard and cited Mark A. Silva, 39, of Centralia, on suspicion of disorderly conduct. 

Accused Shoplifters Cited

• At 6:18 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a report of a shoplifter in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. Bradley G. Dubay, 25, of Chehalis, was cited on suspicion of third-degree theft. He was accused of taking $39.97 in merchandise.

• At 4:46 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to a report of three people shoplifting in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. One person, Kilee C. Landreau, 20, of Toledo, was cited on suspicion of third-degree theft. She was accused of taking $97.95 in merchandise.

 

Suspect Arrested on Assault Charge

• At 10:14 a.m. on Thursday, police responded to a report that a person threw a chair at another person in the 500 block of Southwest McFadden Avenue. Adrian J. Gillespie, 47, of Chehalis, was cited on suspicion of fourth-degree assault.

 

Two Men Spotted Stealing Hubcaps

• At 4:06 p.m. on Thursday, police received a report of two men stealing hubcaps from an abandoned vehicle at the intersection of North National Avenue and Coal Creek Road. 

Person Reports ‘Poison’ Sprayed on Trees

• At 5:55 p.m. on Thursday, police received a report of poison sprayed on trees in the 100 block of Southeast Westside Drive.  

Lewis County Jail Statistics

As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 230 inmates with 190 in general population, 38 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and two on work release. Of general population inmates, 157 were male and 33 were female and of WERC inmates, 32 were male and six female. A total of five inmates were booked through contracts with agencies outside Lewis County.
