Centralia Police Department

Trespasser Reported

• At 2:32 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to a report of a trespasser in the 600 block of North Tower Avenue. Janie S. Weibling, 56, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree criminal trespassing after being accused of being on private property she had previously been trespassed from. She was issued a citation and released. 

DUI

• At 10:16 p.m. on Wednesday, police responded to the 900 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested Jesus J. Teodoro-Santiago, 35, of Shelton, on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. 

Potted Plants Taken from Porch

• At 7:35 a.m. on Thursday, police received a report of a theft from the 1800 block of North Tower Avenue. Potted plants were stolen from a porch.

Bicycle Stolen

• At 9:37 a.m. on Thursday, a bicycle was reported stolen in the 100 block of South Silver Street. 

Tools Taken from Home Under Construction

• At 11:47 a.m. on Thursday, tools were reported stolen from a residence being remodeled in the 1000 block of North Pearl Street. 

Transients Cited on Alcohol Charge

• At 2:22 p.m. on Thursday, transients were cited at the intersection of B and First Street on suspicion of drinking alcohol in public. 

Teen Cited for Assault

• At 9:44 p.m. on Thursday, a juvenile was reportedly cited on suspicion of third-degree assault after assaulting staff members at Providence Centralia Hospital in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road. 

Chehalis Police Department 

Trespassers Reported

• At 7:40 a.m. on Wednesday, a trespasser was reported in the 500 block of Southwest 18th Street. 

• At 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, a trespasser was reported on Northeast Median Street in Chehalis. A person reported the man was harassing the business’s employees. 

Copper Stolen from Building

• At 7:50 a.m. on Wednesday, copper was reported stolen in a burglary in the 100 block of Northwest State Avenue. 

Hit and Runs

• At 10:36 p.m. on Wednesday, a hit and run was reported in the 600 block of Arkansas Way.

• At 10:36 a.m. on Thursday, a hit and run was reported in the 500 block of Southwest Parkland Drive. 

Harassment by Children Reported

• At 3:12 p.m. on Thursday, a parent in the 300 block of Southwest Third Street reported their 7-year-old daughter was being harassed by a 9-year-old girl. 

Theft

• At 6:04 p.m. on Thursday, a third-degree theft was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

Aggressive Panhandler Reported

• At 6:19 p.m. on Thursday, police received a report of an aggressive panhandler at the intersection of Louisiana Avenue and Chamber of Commerce Way. 

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

Riding Lawnmower Stolen, Suspect Caught on Surveillance Video

• The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a Cub Cadet riding lawnmower in the early morning hours of Wednesday from a business in the 3800 block of Harrison Avenue. A suspect was caught on surveillance footage. The lawnmower was recovered in brush nearby. The case is under investigation. 

Wood-Splitter Stolen from Curtis Hill Property

• At 1:07 p.m. on Wednesday, deputies responded to a report of a burglary at an address in the 200 block of Curtis Hill Road in Chehalis. The victim, an 85-year-old woman, reported an electric wood splitter, valued at $300, was stolen. 

Man Arrested on Burglary, Assault Charges After Breaking Through Motorhome Door

• At 1:15 a.m. on Thursday, deputies responded to a report of a disturbance in the 1700 block of Bunker Creek Road in Chehalis. A 74-year-old Chehalis man reported he was allowing a female friend to stay in his motorhome. 

He told police suspect Edmond Manuel Ferry, II, 37, of Mossyrock, broke through the motorhome door and punched him. Deputies arrested Ferry in the 100 block of Dieckman Road on suspicion of first-degree burglary, second-degree assault and third-degree malicious mischief. 

Garage Door Damaged in Suspected Burglary

• At 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, a suspected burglary was reported in the 1200 block of North Fork Road in Chehalis. A woman reported her garage door was forced open, causing $300 in damage, the previous night. Nothing is believed to have been stolen. 

Toledo Woman Arrested With Meth, Stolen Vehicle

• At 8:12 p.m. on Thursday, a deputy on southbound Interstate 5 in Chehalis was behind a vehicle when he checked the registration and learned it was stolen from Grapeview, Washington. The vehicle reportedly pulled to the side of the road and the deputy conducted a traffic stop. Driver Norma R. Taylor, 60, of Toledo, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of methamphetamine and driving with a suspended license. 

Lewis County Jail Statistics

• As of Friday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 219 inmates, with 181 in general population and 38 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 146 were male and 35 were female and of WERC inmates, 36 were male and two were female. A total of 31 inmates were booked through contracts with agencies outside Lewis County.
