Copper Wire Stolen

• At 8:38 a.m. on Monday, copper wire was reported stolen from a business in the 2000 block of Industrial Drive in Centralia. 

 

Wallet Taken From Health Care Facility

• At 9:27 a.m. on Monday, a wallet was reported stolen from a health care facility in the 1900 block of Cooks Hill Road. 

 

Woman Arrested on Drug Charge, Warrants

• At 9:37 a.m. on Monday, police responded to the 300 block of South Iron Street and arrested Chelsea R. Hensley, 28, of Centralia, on suspicion of possession of heroin and on outstanding warrants. 

 

Hit and Run

• At 12:34 p.m. on Monday, a hit and run was reported in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue. 

 

Burglary Reported

• At 2:22 p.m. on Monday, a burglary was reported in the 600 block of K Street. The burglary reportedly occurred in the past week. 

• At 2:10 p.m. on Tuesday, a burglary was reported in the 900 block of Ham Hill Road. An investigation is ongoing. 

• At 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a burglary was reported in the 400 block of Brock Street. A person reported a suspect wearing a tank top entered a garage and ran away when confronted.

• At 7:59 a.m. on Wednesday, a burglary was reported at a business in the 2000 block of Industrial Drive. 

 

Lacey, Olympia Suspects Arrested After Dispute at Bar

• At 7:41 p.m. on Monday, police responded to a “dispute at a bar” in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue, according to the police department. Nathan E. Cline, 27, of Lacey, was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault. Destiny M. Johanson, 30, of Olympia, was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct, obstructing an officer and resisting arrest. 

 

Suspect Booked on Assault Charge

• At 9:17 p.m. on Monday, police responded to the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue and arrested Charles A. Park, 56, of Centralia, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault. 

 

Vehicle Stolen

• At 5:04 p.m. on Tuesday, a 1996 Oldsmobile was reported stolen in the 1300 block of St. Helens Street. 

 

Identity Theft Suspect Booked

• At 6:05 p.m. on Tuesday, police responded to the 200 block of East Van Buren Street and arrested Kiya A. L. Kenney, 30, of Centralia, on suspicion of identity theft and on an outstanding state Department of Corrections warrant. 

 

Lynwood Man Arrested on Suspicion of Assaulting Nurses

• At 8:22 p.m. on Tuesday, police responded to the 900 block of South Scheuber Road and arrested Robert B. McBride, 27, of Lynnwood, on suspicion of third-degree assault. He was accused of hitting several nurses at a medical facility.

Police Investigate Report of Drug Violation

• At 11:13 a.m., police responded to a report of a person in possession of an illegal drug in the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue. Charges are pending lab results on the substance. 

 

Hit and Runs

• At 11:43 a.m. on Friday, a hit and run was reported in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard. 

• At 2:11 a.m. on Sunday, a hit and run was reported in the area of the intersection of North National Avenue and Chamber of Commerce Way. A person reported seeing a vehicle hit a bridge and knock over a sign before driving away. 

• At 4:33 p.m. on Sunday, a hit and run was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

 

Suspicious Man Seen Looking in Residence’s Window

• At 9:08 p.m. on Friday, a person in the 100 block of Southwest 11th Street reported seeing an unidentified man standing in his backyard, looking in his window. The person reported he was concerned the man was trying to break into the house. No arrests were reported. 

 

Credit Card Fraud

• At 4:21 p.m. on Saturday, a person reported a suspected credit card skimmer in the 2100 block of North National Avenue. The person reported he used the machine and a few days later found someone was fraudulently taking money from his account. 

 

Burglary 

• At 12:05 a.m. on Sunday, a burglary was reported in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue in Chehalis. 

 

Vehicle Stolen

• At 6:59 p.m. on Sunday, a vehicle was reported stolen in the 600 block of Southeast Dobson Court. The alleged victim reported he believed his nephew took it and took the keys out of his pocket while he was sleeping. 

 

Animal Abuse

• At 10:20 a.m. on Sunday, police received a report of abuse of a dog in the 1000 block of Southwest 20th Street in Chehalis. 

 

Man Throws Chair, Damages Wall

• At 1:22 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to a report of a man who reportedly threw a chair and put a hole in the wall of a location in the 100 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue. Matthew E. Eastman, 35, of Chehalis was arrested on suspicion of third-degree malicious mischief. 

 

Thefts Reported

• At 3:58 p.m. on Monday, a third-degree theft was reported in the 1200 block of Bishop Road. 

• At 11:52 a.m. on Tuesday, a third-degree theft was reported in the 100 block of Southwest Fifth Street in Chehalis. 

 

Rape Reported

• At 9:57 p.m. on Monday, police received a report of a rape in the 300 block of Southwest 11th Street. 

 

Juvenile Reportedly Damages Classroom

• At 10:08 a.m. on Tuesday, police received a report that a juvenile damaged a classroom in the 1200 block of Southwest Pacific Avenue. 

 

Vehicle Prowl

• At 10:34 a.m. on Tuesday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 1500 block of North National Avenue. 

 

Burglary

• At 5:48 p.m. on Tuesday, a burglary was reported in the 200 block of Southeast Adams Avenue. A female suspect reportedly broke into the scout lodge at that location and had been living there. The suspect ran when confronted. 

 

Lewis County Jail Statistics

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 230 inmates, including 200 in general population, 29 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and one on work release. Of general population inmates, 164 were men and 36 women and of WERC inmates, 27 were men and two women.
