Sirens: Protection Order Violated, Business Reports Scam, Man Accused of Stealing Pants, Boots

Centralia Police Department

Protection Order Violated

• At 12:58 p.m. on Monday, police responded to the 1000 block of Scammon Creek Road and arrested Carson D. Pendleton, 22, of Centralia, on suspicion of violation of a protection order. 

Hit and Run

• At 5:05 p.m. on Monday, a hit and run was reported in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue in a parking lot. 

Business Reports Scam

• At 11:42 p.m. on Monday, an employee of a business in the 600 block of West Main Street reported a scam. They reported being asked to place money belonging to the business into their personal account, then wire it to Mexico. The case is under investigation. 

Police Recover Drugs After Call for Suspicious Vehicle

• At 2:38 p.m. on Tuesday, police responded to the 200 block of Downing Road to a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers reported finding drugs after executing a search warrant on the vehicle. Charges against a male subject are pending, according to the police department. 

DUI

• At 2:39 p.m. on Tuesday, police responded to the intersection of Johnson Road and Borst Avenue and arrested Eric K. Hrncir, 31, of Centralia on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Medical Equipment Stolen

• At 3:52 p.m. on Tuesday, medical equipment was reported stolen from a medical facility in the 900 block of South Scheuber Road.  

Boy Arrested on Assault Charge

• At 6:47 p.m. on Tuesday, police responded to the 2800 block of Russell Road and arrested a 12-year-old boy on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence. The boy was booked into the Lewis County Juvenile detention center.

Chehalis Police Department

Malicious Mischief

• At 10 a.m. on Monday, an employee of a business in the 500 block of Southeast Adams Avenue reported a person tampered with a sprinkler system. 

Hit and Run

• At 10:28 a.m. on Monday, a person reported a hit and run in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard that occurred three days earlier. 

• At 4:14 p.m. on Monday, a hit and run was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.  

Rochester Women Face Theft Charges

• At 11:38 a.m. on Monday, police responded to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue for a report of shoplifters. Sharon L. Stone-Sherman, 52, of Rochester was cited and released on suspicion of third-degree theft and Kim M. Hudson, 59, of Rochester was booked into the Lewis County Jail on the same charge. The pair were accused of taking $61.71 in merchandise.

Snowmobile Trailer Stolen

• At 3:05 p.m. on Monday, a snowmobile trailer was reported stolen at the intersection of Boistfort Street and Washington Avenue.

Man Accused of Stealing Pants, Boots

• At 3:44 p.m. Monday, police received a report of a theft from the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue. A man was accused of stealing another man’s boots and pants. 

 

Suspect Accused of Breaking Liquor Bottle, Not Paying

• At 12:55 p.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of a theft in the 500 block of South Market Boulevard. A transient allegedly broke a liquor bottle in the bathroom and left. 

 

Theft

• At 1:06 p.m. on Tuesday, a third-degree theft was reported in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

 

Lewis County Jail Statistics

As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 227 inmates, with 196 in general population, 29 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center and two on work release. Of general population inmates, 166 were men and 30 were women and of WERC inmates, 26 were men and three women. A total of six inmates were booked through contracts with agencies outside Lewis County.
