Sirens: Police Requested for Student Sharing ‘Inappropriate’ Pictures; Suspect Threatens Caller After Denial to Buy Jewelry

Person Damages Residence’s Door

• At 8:17 a.m. Monday, a caller in the 1000 block of North Pearl Street reported someone had damaged the residence’s door.

Police Book Theft Suspect

• At 10:02 a.m. Monday, police responded to the 600 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested Michelle D. Henning, 28, of Centralia on suspicion of third-degree theft. Henning allegedly stole a lighter.

Collision Results in Injury

• At 2:18 p.m. Monday, a two-vehicle collision with injuries was reported in the 1600 block of South Gold Street.

Person Booked for Using Bad Checks

• At 3:24 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested Sharon A. Todd, 42, of Centralia on suspicion of unlawful issuance of bank checks. Todd allegedly tried to buy merchandise from a local business using a check while knowing there was no money in the account.

Summons Issued for Centralia Man After Fight

• At 2:11 a.m. Tuesday, police went to the 1900 block of Honeysuckle Lane in response to a fight. A summons was then requested for a 23-year-old Centralia resident on suspicion of fourth-degree assault — domestic violence. The person left the scene prior to the police’s arrival.

Police Arrest Theft Suspect

• At 8:41 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 500 block of South Tower Avenue and arrested and released a 27-year-old Centralia resident on suspicion of third-degree theft.

Suspect Booked for Unlawful Imprisonment

• At 10:11 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 1200 block of West Main Street and arrested Gonzalo M. Ontiveros, 28, of Centralia on suspicion of unlawful imprisonment — domestic violence.

Theft

• At 1:23 p.m. Tuesday, a theft of a cigarettes and a Coke was reported in the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue. 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT

Police Requested for Student Sharing ‘Inappropriate’ Pictures

• At 10:42 a.m. Monday, police were requested in the 300 block of Southwest 16th Street, on a report of an underage person sharing “inappropriate” pictures.

Police Respond to Possible Attempted Auto Theft

• At 4:54 p.m. Monday, police were requested in the 200 block of West Main Street, where someone broke into a vehicle and broke the key off into the ignition.

Hit and Run

• At 8:20 p.m. Monday, a hit and run was reported at the intersection of Fairview Drive and Market Boulevard.

 Police Arrest DUI Suspect

• At 9:21 p.m. Monday, police responded to the 1300 block of Northwest State Avenue and arrested Christopher R. Maureax, 31, of Chehalis on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Assault Reported

• At 12:41 pm. Tuesday, a caller in the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue reported that an individual punched someone.

Suspect Threatens Caller After Denial to Buy Jewelry

• At 2:05 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported they were approached in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue by an man asking if they wanted to buy jewelry. When the caller said no, the man said, “I’m going to kill you.”

 Assault Suspect Booked

• At 10:51 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to the 100 block of Northeast Division Street and arrested Seth M.A. Crouse, 31, of Chehalis on suspicion of fourth-degree assault — domestic violence and third-degree malicious mischief — domestic violence. 

Theft

• At 11:37 a.m. Tuesday, a theft of a chainsaw was reported in the 1000 block of Southwest McFadden Avenue.

LEWIS COUNTY JAIL STATISTICS

• As of Wednesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 221 inmates, with 187 in general population, 31 in the work ethic and restitution center and three on work release. Of general population inmates, 154 were male and 33 were female and of WERC inmates, 27 were male and four were female. A total of 25 inmates were booked through contracts outside Lewis County.
