Centralia Police Department

Logging Truck Damaged

• Police received a report of damage to a logging truck at 8:07 a.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of East Chestnut Street. 

Protection Order Violation

• Carlos A. Jimon-Gatica, 32, of Centralia, was arrested in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue on Wednesday at about 10:33 p.m. for allegedly violating a protection order. He was booked into the Lewis County Jail. 

• Steven G. Thurman, 63, of Centralia, was arrested in the 1100 block of West Chestnut Street on Wednesday at about 2:26 p.m. for allegedly violating a restraining order. He was booked into the Lewis County Jail.

Mail Theft

• Officers took a report of mail theft, possibly by a known suspect, in the 800 block of South Pearl Street at about 6:23 p.m. on Wednesday.

Trespass

• Terry L. Bryan, 35, of Centralia, was arrested in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue at 6:17 a.m. Thursday for allegedly trespassing. He was booked into the Lewis County Jail.  

Man Arrested on Suspicion of Assault, Violating No-Contact Order

• Edgar Ramirez-Dado, 20, of Centralia was arrested and booked at 8:25 a.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of Warsaw Street in Centralia on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, third-degree malicious mischief and violation of a no-contact order.

Items Stolen From Car

• At 9:12 a.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of a vehicle prowl in the 1200 block of Alder Street in Centralia. Items were reportedly stolen from the locked car overnight.

Bicycle Stolen

• At 3:34 p.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of a bicycle stolen in the 1400 block of Jensen Avenue in Centralia.

Robber Tries to Steal Bike

• At 5:34 p.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of an attempted robbery in the 1500 block of Delaware Avenue. A man allegedly tried to take a bicycle from a child.

Teen Arrested After Alleged Assault

• A 14-year-old girl was arrested at 5:48 p.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of South Washington Avenue on suspicion of second-degree assault after she reportedly tried to stab a parent with a pen.

Man Arrested for Violation of Order

• Steven G. Thurman, 63, of Centralia, was arrested at 10:27 p.m. on Tuesday in the 1100 block of Chestnut Street in Centralia on suspicion of violation of an anti-harassment order.

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

Man Sought for Burglary Arrested

• William F. Eberle, 52, was arrested at 4:06 p.m. Tuesday on suspicion of second-degree burglary and malicious mischief in a burglary reported at 5:21 p.m. Monday in the 1200 block of Long Road in Centralia. Eberle was also arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. 

Horses on the Loose Found in Chehalis

• A man in the 100 block of Eckhardt Road in Chehalis was surprised Tuesday morning to find two horses in his yard. Deputies responded and learned the horses didn’t belong to anyone in the neighborhood. Neither horse had shoes and both needed hoof trimming, according to the sheriff’s office. The horses have been impounded to the Chehalis Livestock Market until an owner is found. Deputies do not know where the horses are from, but based on their droppings, deduced that they came from the Brown Road East area.

Mossyrock Burglary Suspect Found Hiding Under Bed

• James W. McMillion II, 37, of Mossyrock, was arrested on suspicion of burglary at 12:29 a.m. on Wednesday after a burglary was reported in the 100 block of Jarrells Road in Mossyrock. At 10:08 p.m. on Tuesday, deputies received a report of a burglary at the location. A deputy found a gate to the property damaged, and heard banging sounds coming from the direction of a trailer. The deputy saw a flashlight come on and began giving the suspect commands. The suspect allegedly did not follow commands and the deputy deployed a Taser. The man continued to resist and ran down a driveway to the road. He was later arrested at his residence after deputies found him hiding under a bed. The Morton Police Department assisted the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. McMillion’s first court appearance was originally scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, but was rescheduled to this morning because he needs a sign-language interpreter.

Assault on a Deputy, Disorderly Conduct

• Lynn K. Jorgensen, Jr., 45, of Ethel, was arrested in the 100 block of Leonard Road at about 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday for third-degree assault and disorderly conduct. Prior to the arrest, a deputy saw Jorgensen allegedly shatter a glass bottle on the ground when he was sitting near the Newaukum bridge. When the deputy tried to talk to him Jorgensen allegedly started swinging a large metal object toward the deputy. As Jorgensen was being placed in custody he became combative and had to be carried to the patrol car and kicked a deputy in the process. Jorgensen was also booked into the Lewis County Jail.

Chainsaws Stolen in Rochester Burglary

• Two Stihl chainsaws were reportedly stolen from an outbuilding in a burglary in the past two days in the  2300 block of Lincoln Creek Road in Rochester. A suspicious vehicle was reportedly seen in the area near the time of the burglary. The incident is under investigation.

Chehalis Police Department

Vehicle Prowls Reported

• At 7:31 a.m. on Tuesday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 600 block of Southeast Dobson Court. A food stamp card and debit card were reportedly stolen from the vehicle.

• At 12:32 p.m. on Tuesday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 1300 block of Southeast Washington Avenue

Burglary Reported to House Undergoing Remodeling

• At 4:53 p.m. on Tuesday, police received reports of a burglary at a house in the 200 block of Southwest Riverside Drive in Chehalis that is being remodeled. Two doors were kicked in and damaged. 

Three Teens Arrested for Drinking

• Three 15-year-old Chehalis boys were arrested at 8:08 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Second Street and Cascade Avenue on suspicion of possessing and consuming alcohol.

Prescription Drugs Reported Missing

• At 2:36 p.m. on Tuesday, prescription drugs were reported missing in the 1700 block of South Market Boulevard.

Man Arrested on Suspicion of Stealing Plumbing Supplies

Rodney S. Creech, 24, of Chehalis was arrested at 3:42 p.m. on Tuesday in the 1700 block of Louisiana Avenue on suspicion of third-degree theft. He is accused of stealing $81 in plumbing supplies. 

One Cited For Theft

• Ronald D. Wright, 43, of Centralia, was arrested at 2:40 p.m. Monday in the 1600 block of Louisiana Avenue on suspicion of third-degree theft.

Bremerton Man Arrested on Suspicion of Meth Possession

• Bradley L. Reynolds, 44, of Bremerton, was arrested at 7:38 p.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of Southeast Washington Avenue on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine.

Man Arrested After Dispute

• Talen C. Maddux, 25, of Chehalis, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault Tuesday near the intersection of Northwest Quincy Place and West Main Street after a dispute over money, according to the Chehalis Police Department.

Fires

Shed Destroyed, Home Damaged in Toledo Fire

• At 1:35 p.m. Tuesday, a structure fire was reported in the 800 block of Jackson Highway South in Toledo. The fire started in a shed, which was destroyed, and moved to the house. The house was damaged, but most of it was saved said Lewis County Fire District 2 Chief Dave Germain. Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
