Sirens: Masked Creeper; Poorly Maintained House Draws Raccoons; Student Runs Away From School

Chehalis Police Department 

Minor in Possession

• At 1:37 p.m. on Wednesday, a minor was allegedly in possession of alcohol in the 300 block of 16th Street. 

• At 3:16 p.m. on Wednesday, a 15-year-old girl was reportedly under the influence of alcohol in the 300 block of Southwest 16th Street. 

Prescription Theft

• At 4:33 p.m. Wednesday, in the 1000 block of Southwest 20th Street, a person reported someone had stolen their pain pills. 

Masked Creeper

• At 7:36 p.m. on Wednesday in the 700 block of South Market Boulevard, a man wearing a red mask and orange vest was reportedly seen moving between a beauty shop, a florist and some bushes. No arrests were made. 

Drink It and Beat It

• A heavy-set woman with a facial tattoos and a slicked back ponytail allegedly drank iced coffee and tried to steal other items before someone intervened at a store in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard at about 12:22 p.m. on Thursday. No arrests were made.

Poorly Maintained House Draws Raccoons

• A house on the corner of 3rd Street and Southwest Washington was reported at 1:19 p.m. Thursday for having bicycles all over the yard and not having garbage service, which was attracting raccoons and opossums. A dead opossum was also reported in the alley. 

Harassing Phone Calls

• At 5:42 p.m. on Thursday in the 1100 block of Northwest State Avenue, a person reported receiving harassing phone calls from two different pay phone numbers. In the first call the male voice said he liked the reporting party’s outfit. In the third call asked what size her “boobs” were. The man claimed to be at a gas station across the street.

Unwanted and Unfinished Oil Change

• At 5:56 p.m. Thursday in the 1400 block of Southwest William Avenue, a person reported someone had drained all the oil from their vehicle and let it run onto the ground. 

Man Trapped in Elevator

• At 6:01 p.m. in the 400 block of North Market Boulevard, a man reported being stuck in an elevator. 

Student Reported for Running Away from School

• At 12:34 p.m. on Wednesday, a 13-year-old student was reported by a teacher for running away from school in the 1000 block of Southwest 20th Street.

 

Centralia Police Department

Vehicle Prowl 

• At 11:54 a.m. Thursday, police responded to reports of a vehicle prowl during which paperwork was taken in the 1000 block of Woodland Avenue. 

Drugs and Gun Found in Hotel

• At 12:05 p.m. Thursday, police responded to a call in the 1200 block of Alder Street when a hotel manager reported finding drugs and a handgun allegedly left by Leo M. Mitchell, age 20, and Julie L. Gore, age 31, who were arrested out of the same room the night before. 

Stolen Equipment

• A leaf blower and a pressure washer left outside of the building in the 1100 block of South Pearl Street were reported stolen at 2:38 p.m. Thursday. 

Stolen Prescription Pills

• Pain medication was reported stolen in the 900 block of North Tower Avenue at 6:37 p.m.

DUI

•  Derrick L. Whitcomb, 30, of Centralia, was arrested and booked for allegedly driving while under the influence at 8:14 p.m. on Thursday in the 1000 block of South Tower Avenue. 

Disorderly Conduct

• Jacob S. Drury, 20, of Centralia, was arrested and booked for disorderly conduct at 10:12 p.m. on Thursday in the intersection of Pearl Street and Reynolds Avenue.

 

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

• Ron C. Lusk, 51, of Kennewick, was arrested in the 400 block of Elk Creek Road in Doty and booked into the Lewis County Jail for an alleged felony violation of a no contact order and second-degree assault, domestic violence. He was also referred to the prosecutor’s office for third-degree malicious mischief and interfering with a report of domestic violence. The 50-year-old victim, from Bremerton, called the Sheriff’s Office to say she couldn’t find her keys in the river and believed her arm was broken, but the call was abruptly disconnected. She was later picked up on Elk Creek Road by a motorist who called the Sheriff’s Office. The woman reported that between 10:30 p.m. Thursday and 1:00 a.m. Friday, Lusk, her boyfriend, allegedly pushed her down some stairs and assaulted her by hitting and kicking her. She had bruising on her face, neck and body and possibly had a broken wrist and broken ribs. The loss of her phone and key was about $400. 

DUI

• Steven S. Bidwell, 43, of Centralia, was arrested in the 200 block of Rainke Road at about 2:31 p.m. Thursday and booked into the Lewis County Jail for allegedly driving while intoxicated. 

Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 

• At about 8 p.m. on Thursday in the 1200 block of state Route 505 in Toledo, a 14-year-old and a 16-year-old were arrested for smoking marijuana in their car while watching football practice. They are being referred to the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office.
